Integrated Pest Management
We inspect our fields regularly and apply an integrated pest management approach to maintain our plants’ health. Only approved United States Department of Agricultural products are used in the farming operation.

Side Dressing of Nutrients
The plants are side dressed when they are approximately six inches tall with a small amount of nitrogen. By not applying all the necessary nutrients at planting, but adding them when the plant most can use them, the leaching of the necessary nutrients by rain is diminished.

Irrigation
When it comes to conserving our world’s resources we employ very conservative methods. Irrigation is accomplished through the use of solid set aluminum pipes with low pressure sprinklers. This method of irrigating is very labor intensive and old fashioned, but it most simulates a gentle rain, preventing run off and soil compaction.
